They sowed the divine seed,
For I was added to the next
generation’s need
As I bud to bloom with principles and
creed,
My first quenching of thirst was
Mother’s breastfeed.
I crawl, I stammer, I fall, I hold,
For a lesson to grow none have told
As I start to leap many a fold,
My quenching of thirst was to know how
to be bold.
I start to go to school,
For knowledge being a necessary tool
As I learn to not become a fool,
My quenching thirst was to jump into
the knowledge pool.
I begin to make friends,
For not less helping hands they lend
As the petty fights start to mend,
My quenching of thirst was to learn
not to depend.
I realize the reason for the seed
sown,
For the realities of life are often
shown
As I digest the truth known,
I find the quenching of thirst will
never end to ages grown.
